The host country:

The 1101 years old Hungary stands ready to provide a hearty welcome to those who attended the previous conferences, together with experts joining for the first time this mutual international activity. Besides those arriving from European countries, representatives from other nations of the world are expected to be present at the event in increasing numbers. Hungary aims to open it's doors and welcome contributors from countries near and further away, from cultures close and far to our own, from educators and policy makers with different standpoints.

The date was chosen for the conference aiming to offer the participants an opportunity to view some of the events surrounding the 20th August, national day celebration. The organisers would like to interpret the hearty welcome of the country and people in assisting to pick events and places to visit around that period in order to combine your stay with a holiday in Budapest or other parts of the country.

The organisers aim to hold in parallel the Third National Logo Conference HUNGAROLOGO 97, which will be affiliated to EUROLOGO 97, with some common events. The HUNGAROLOGO Conference held annually, attracts not only local educators, but also Hungarian ethnic of surrounding countries. This provides an excellent opportunity for national and ethnic educators and policy makers to meet with those of other countries, giving a chance to get to know each other and exchange ideas.

Venue:

The venue of the Conference will be the House of Technology, the headquarters of the Federation for Technological and Scientific Societies located in Budapest, Kossuth tér 6-8 on the bank of the Danube, just opposite the building of the Parliament, providing excellent facilities for the event.
